In order to support and expand upon human cognitive activities such as education, research, development, and art, it is essential to put in place reliable information environments. This course thus focuses on education and research targeting methods for constructing media spaces for accumulated information, for achieving informational augmentation of the real world and creating appropriate "information worlds," and for achieving multimodal interactions that enable a close integration of the real and information worlds.
